Semester Abroad at Denmark Technical University

During the Spring of 2023 I studied abroad at Denmark Technical University near Copenhagen, DK. The impact of being able to stay in another country for months is massive. I was able to experience a culture far from my own which allowed me to look at my own life from a new perspective. While in Scandinavia I learned to appreciate the slower pace of European life and took time for myself and various trips. I also spent a considerable amount of time with new friends who taught me about different cultures across Europe and the world. As a result I was able to look at my own ideas, biases, and stereotypes through a new lens. Surprisingly, my love for New York grew as I gained a renewed appreciation for the hustle and energy that only a city like NYC can provide. Upon returning to NYU I had a new love for NYC, valued the importance of a slower-paced lifestyle, and connected with friends around the globe.

Spring Break Experience in Portugal

During Spring 2025 I was able to take a week-long immersive experience in Portugal. As part of this trip we visited the cities of Lisbon and Porto. This trip had a focus on sustainability and made efforts to connect us to local companies focused on such. We visited the Nam Urban Farm which specializes in making mushrooms sustainably. While in Porto we visited Environmental Waves where we learned more about preserving Portugal's ecosystems. This trip gave me a new perspective on how each country has its unique approach to sustainability.
