Service through Alpha Omega Epsilon
During Spring 2024 our chapter held a masquerade ball to raise awareness about children who suffer with childhood cancer and donate funds to the B+ Foundation. This required months of planning, sourcing, and volunteers from our sorority to make it happen.
The planning and execution of this gala elevated the level at which we plan events. This was our largest and most formal event ever. Additionally, we were able to raise the awareness around childhood cancer while raising awareness of our sorority, Alpha Omega Epsilon. Although our profits weren’t extraordinary, we hope to repeat this event in the future with greater success.

Chair of Finance Committee at T.B.P. Convention
Each year Tau Beta Pi has a convention where it does all business of the organization. As a student run organization TBP relies on students to step up and be leaders of each committee which handles a specific area of business for the organization. I volunteered to take on the leadership role for one of the most important committees: Chapter & Association Finance Committee.
This experience put me in a very different position than I am used to. I have little background in finance, especially non-profit finance. I learned a lot about how non-profits stay afloat and about TBP specifically. Each day of the convention I had to present the findings of my committee to around 500 people. We also proposed changes to the TBP finances which were passed among the group.
