Hello!

My name is Elina Rani and I am a senior at NYU Tandon School of Engineering majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I am passionate about sustainability and its intersections with various fields. As a research intern in the Modestino Research Group, I contributed to multiple published papers, performing experiments using GCMS, NMR, and 3D modeling to optimize electrochemical synthesis. I gained startup experience at Metal Light Inc., working on zinc-air battery optimization, and at Olokun Minerals, conducting technoeconomic analyses for rare earth mineral purification.

Beyond research, I am actively involved in leadership, serving as President of both Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Omega Epsilon at NYU. I am also a GLASS Scholar and part of NYU’s Leadership Honors Cohort. With skills in coding, data analysis, and 3D modeling, I am committed to developing sustainable innovations that advance chemical processes and beyond.
